The Utah Department of Workforce Services has released the latest unemployment numbers by county for the state of Utah. Daggett County unemployment remained the same from the month before at 4.8 percent, an increase from 4.2 percent one year prior. Duchesne County also remained the same, measuring at 4.1 percent unemployment, a slight decrease from the year before at 4.5 percent. Uintah County ticked down from 4.4 to 4.3 percent unemployment the month before, down from 4.8 percent from March 2018. Out of the 29 counties in Utah, there are 7 other Utah counties with unemployment rates around or higher than northeastern Utah counties. The state average is 3 percent unemployment and the national average is 3.8 percent.
