75 years. That is how long the hospital in Roosevelt has been providing healthcare services to the Uintah Basin. It has had a unique history in those 75 years. It started as the LDS Roosevelt Hospital in 1944 but when the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints “divested itself from its health care services” Duchesne County took over ownership in 1975 changing the name to Duchesne County Hospital. Finally in 1993, Uintah Basin Healthcare took over, renaming it the Uintah Basin Medical Center. UBHC is the largest rural healthcare system in Utah with clinics located in Altamont, Manila, Tabiona, Vernal and Duchesne. Come join the 75th anniversary celebration
