The stars are something we have shared with the ancients and will be able to share with future generations. To explore the expansive night sky is a treat for the area as we have several parks that are designated as dark skies and as a result, the Astronomical Society from BYU will be holding a stargazing party this week. There will be telescopes and activities set up in the park next to the Uintah County Library with all the parking lot lights turned off for this special event. It is a free event open to all ages with refreshments to top it all off. If there happens to be cloud cover or bad weather there will be a powerpoint presentation and the activities will be moved to the inside of the library. Meet at the park next to the Uintah County Library
