The Search and Rescue operation for a missing 74-year-old Rock Springs man has been officially suspended. Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office announced last week that all search efforts for Terry Meador proved unsuccessful. Meador was reported missing on October 25th after he failed to return from a solo hunting trip south of Rock Springs. His unoccupied vehicle was found badly stuck about 3 miles north of the summit of Pine Mountain. Meador has not been seen since and there has been no cell phone or financial card activity connected to him. The massive search effort over the following weeks covered well over 60 square miles. Sheriff Mike Lowell announced last week that due to low temperatures and adverse weather conditions, the official search-and-recovery operations have been suspended. Anyone with information of the Meador case are invited to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
