Local scouting programs are evolving as troops and packs prepare for the eventual change in direct affiliation with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Regardless, devoted scouts are building the local scouting program and are hoping the community will come support their upcoming Pioneer Day Scout Breakfast in Vernal. “We need community support more than ever before,” shares Joni Crane, BSA High Uintah District Executive. “We have troops and packs starting up and this will help them so much.” In the High Uintah District, Crane says there are about 10 new troops and packs organizing right now. The Pioneer Day Scout Breakfast will be held at the Vernal City Park Colton Pavilion
