It was another successful turnout for the Perfect Swing for Scholarships Golf Tournament. Held last week, the event was hosted by USU-Uintah Basin at the Dinaland Golf Course to raise money for scholarships to help the region’s workforce earn college degrees. “We had a great day golfing and networking with important businesses and leaders in the Basin community,” shares associate vice president James Taylor. “These organizations are making an investment in Uintah Basin’s future workforce. Outside of donations, they also provide internships and work opportunities for many of our students.” This was the event’s third year and they were able to raise $11,510 dollars for the USU Advisory Board Community Scholarship. The Uintah County Commission and Economic Development Office are also partners in this annual event.
