A Christmas gift to the city of Roosevelt came in the form of the results of the latest financial audit. The audit highlights that Roosevelt City is in fine financial health. The city has $5.1 million dollars in assets available in the city’s governmental funds, with $1.7 million dollars in the sewer fund, as well as $2.9 million dollars available in the water fund. Also of note is that all the city funds are in a good position to pay off long term debts because of assets that are equal to or greater than their operating expenses. “Ryan (Snow) and John (Zilles) are a pleasure to work with,” said Mike Miles, from Aycock & Miles Associates. “They keep great books. The city is in a better position financially than it has been for a number of years.” The Roosevelt City Council Meeting discussed the audit in further details on Tuesday, November 20th.
