The Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue has designated Moffat and Uintah County as primary natural disaster areas, according to a press release from the USDA. This designation allows the Farm Service Agency to extend emergency credit to those producers who suffered losses because of drought conditions even if now the drought conditions have lessened. “Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation or the refinance of certain debts.” For those farmers looking for help, the deadline to apply for these emergency loans is
