The Ashley National Forest conducted more prescribed burns over the weekend. The Duchesne Ranger District focused on burning near East Reservation Ridge on Saturday and Sunday. From there crews will move on to West Reservation Ridge which may continue into this week. “The purpose of the prescribed burns is to improve wildlife habitat, reduce fuel loading and decrease the potential for larger wildfires in the future,” shares Ashley National Forest. “Forest visitors to the Reservation Ridge area may experience smoke and possible reduced visibility along Forest Service roads…Engines, hotshots, and/or hand crews will monitor the fire until it is completely extinguished.”
