A change in leadership is in store for the Uintah County Emergency Management Department. Tal Ehlers has served as the Uintah County Emergency Manager for nearly 8 ½ years and at the end of this month is moving on to a new opportunity on the Wasatch Front. Uintah County is still working out their plans to fill the position. “Tal did a great job and is leaving us in really good shape,” shares Uintah County Commissioner Bart Haslem. “We’ve been really lucky to have him.” Haslem says the County will put something out about the position before the end of the month. As for Ehlers, he says he has had a wonderful experience working with the people of Uintah County. “It really has been marvelous,” says Ehlers. “Working with our volunteer organizations in the Basin has been the highlight. There are tremendous volunteers out here that are genuinely interested in helping their neighbors to make this a more prepared and safe community.” Thank you and good luck to the Ehler family on their new adventure.
