Loss of an newborn is such an unimaginable tragedy. At times there seems like there is so little we can do to show our love and support. Uintah Basin Healthcare offers a program called “Caring for Coy” that provides support for any individuals trying to work through such a loss. The cause has Brody’s Fund that helps with financial burdens and has an emotional support through care kits and burial kits. Residents of the Basin can support Caring for Coy in a couple of ways. The Uintah Basin Healthcare is holding their annual “Run FOR U” 5K and are using the event to raise awareness for Caring for Coy. Register to run or purchase a memory sign to be displayed for the run on Saturday, May 18th. Another way to aid is to help craft the items that go into the kits. Some of the needed items are Cedar Keepsake Boxes, Flannel Diaper Sets (White Only), A Mother’s Heart Keepsake, Owl Sibling Mementos, No-Sew Heavenly Headbands, Mommy & Me Bracelets, and Boy Infant Burial Clothing.
