Brady Trucking has a great solution to finding quality CDL drivers that understand the driving conditions in the Uintah Basin. The company has entered into a partnership with UBTech to provide $8,500 in scholarships for students in the CDL program every year for the next five years. “Finding qualified drivers is difficult,” shares Brady Trucking HR director Bill Kremin. “UBTech’s CDL program provides 12 weeks of driving experience, 260 hours of actual drive time. That gives us confidence that we will find good employees. Other driving schools aren’t pertinent to the driving conditions in the Uintah Basin.” UBTech President Aaron Weight says that he appreciates Brady Trucking and that the company’s partnership shows there is a need in the Uintah Basin. “Those who receive the scholarship won’t necessarily get hired by Brady Trucking,” explains Weight, “but it shows their commitment to the industry and it bodes well with Brady Trucking’s mission. Partnerships like these will grow scholarship opportunities by $300,000 over a 5-year-period.”
