morning when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The bike laid down and crossed into the oncoming lane where he was struck by a boat trailer being pulled by a Jeep. While he was wearing a helmet, shares the Highway Patrol, the impact did not allow for survival. The BLM Vernal Field Office and Ashley National Forest expressed their sadness at the loss of Park Ranger Garrett R. Barnett, who is remembered for his dedication to the job and his love of fishing and kayaking. This was Garrett’s first summer working as a Park Ranger for the BLM in partnership with the Ashley National Forest.
