The Uintah County Office of Emergency Management is asking Basin community member to be vigilant as lowland flooding is expected. What that means is be prepared to move people, equipment and livestock in at risk areas. National Weather Service in Grand Junction has published the conditions that could lead to flooding. The upper elevation snow packs are well above normal for the time year as well as the high elevation Modeled snow. Temperatures started to warm over the weekend and will continue into this week. Stream flow will increase, small creeks and streams will run high near bankfill. The conditions are prime for lowland flooding, and it is expected, along the Duchesne, Green and White Rivers.
