Altamont Cowboy to Compete in NHSFR

An Altamont cowboy is climbing the ranks in high school rodeo. BoDell Jessen, a senior at Altamont High School will be competing at the 68th annual National High School Finals Rodeo in Gillette, Wyoming later this month. BoDell qualified for the Utah team in bareback riding and calf roping. The event itself is considered the world’s largest rodeo featuring more than 1,650 contestants from 43 states, 5 Canadian Provinces and Australia. BoDell and his fellow competitors will be competing for a slice of the more than $200,000 dollars in prizes and more than $350,000 dollars in college scholarships.
