After the hours of performance, the songs, and the votes, there is $1800 dollars on the line for this week’s big singing competition finale. Uintah Basin’s own idol contest, Alive After Five, will have its final battle this Thursday outside the Uintah County Library. After whittling down the applicants from the original twelve competitors there is only four people left. Expect the contestants to leave everything on the stage as the idol winner is declared by the people. In addition to the idol happenings, Fishing with the Fox will be drawing for its prizes. DWR aquatics manager Trina Hedrick reports this has been a huge year for Fishing with the Fox with a 58% tag return from Lower Stillwater, a 36% tag return from Moose Pond, and 22% tag return from Red Fleet, which is amazing for such a large body of water. If you were lucky enough to catch a tagged fish and called it in, be sure to be at the lawn in front of the library Thursday, August 8th before 6pm.
