Thanks and appreciation have been extended to Coach Gregg Stensgard by the Uintah School District’s Team Uintah. Stensgard was recently named the 2018 – 2019 4A Coach of the Year by the Utah High School Athletic Association having served as the head wrestling coach at Uintah High School since 1994 as well as working as a teacher of physical education and health at Uintah High School. Coach Stensgard knows the sport he coaches on a professional level as a USA Bronze Level Coach with the USA Wrestling Association and as a Senior World Wrestling Champion, Silver Medalist, and Bronze Medalist. During his time coaching at Uintah, Stensgard has had two teams win state championships and three teams place in the top 50 teams in the nation. He has coached 9 High School All-Americans and 46 State Champions. “Coach Stensgard is an excellent example of what it means to be a team player,” shares Team Uintah. “He loves the Uintah School District and our students and it shows.” Congratulations Coach Stensgard on being named the 4A Coach of the Year and for representing the Basin so well.
