Uintah County Sheriff Steve Labrum took to social media over the weekend to offer some advice on preparedness. He applies the principle of needing to be prepared to multiple situations. First, when adventuring in the outdoors make sure someone knows your plan or better yet, take someone along with you and be prepared for any type of weather conditions or time of day.

Crescent Energy Company announced this month their acquisition of high-margin oil assets in the Uinta Basin. According to the announcement, Crescent Energy entered into a definitive purchase agreement with Verdun Oil Company II LLC to acquire Uinta Basin assets previously owned by EP Energy for $815 million dollars.

Ozone Alert: All Encouraged To Reduce Ozone-Forming Emissions

The USU Bingham Research Center has issued an Ozone Alert for the Uinta Basin. Bingham Research Center Director Dr. Seth Lyman shares that the area is in danger of exceeding the EPA ozone standard over the next several days and as a result, all are encouraged to please reduce ozone-forming emissions where possible.

Frost Wins Xtreme Bulls Championship; Featured By PRCA

Randlett’s own Josh Frost is off to a great rodeo season as is laid out in a PRCA feature on him this week. Frost claimed his second Xtreme Bulls championship in San Antonio on Tuesday, wrapping up the title thanks to an 88.5 point ride on Jester, a bull he’s been looking forward to being matched up with.

Jensen Fire Department Receives Award

A local fire department has put in the hours to now receive some much deserved recognition. During Wednesday’s monthly Uintah Fire District board meeting, the Jensen Fire Department received the ‘Department Recognition, Category Silver’.
