The 2018 Nursing graduates from Utah State University Uintah Basin have set a wonderful standard of accomplishment for those seeking out employment through education. “Over the past few years, USU and UBTech have worked together to create a strong foundation for nursing students,” shares USU-Uintah Basin Executive Director
. “We look forward to future students continuing this momentum and going on to serve and better their local communities.” All 22 students that graduated are already in the work field as Registered Nurses (RNs). Eighteen of the nurses are working locally, three are along the Wasatch front and one is out of state. What is more is that the accrediting standard for passing the NCLEX licensure exam on the first attempt is 80%, the USU graduates had a 90.9% rate. “Our students continue to impress us with their ability to consume a lot of information, then quickly turn around and put it into practice in real-world settings,” says Inella Bastian, nursing faculty member at USU-Uintah Basin. “The students’ success is a reflection on our nursing program and the quality of instruction being offered.”
